Bikes for Bush Foundation

Cycling is one of the true world sports, and Indigenous art is the natural window to Australian culture. By pairing the two, Bikes for Bush has the power to make a real, lasting difference to the relevance of one of the oldest continuing cultures of the world.

The Bikes for Bush Foundation draws from the talents of some of Australia,s most acclaimed Indigenous artists, who have painted bicycles that will be auctioned off. The money raised at this auction will go towards the supply of BMX bikes for children in some of Australia's most remote Indigenous communities.

The first community to receive bikes was Mt Liebig, a small township 325 kms west of Alice Springs, close to the heart of the region where the modern Desert art movement began. .
