Great news! Lumo Energy is officially certified as carbon-neutral by Climate Active.

This means our team and customers can proudly say that Lumo Energy’s business operations are certified carbon neutral. We’ve made changes in how we operate to achieve this milestone.

Lumo Energy has reduced carbon emissions by embracing new technologies and adjusting our work approach. Here’s how:

• We use 100% GreenPower electricity for our offices, upgraded appliances, and lighting for energy efficiency
• We’re transitioning our vehicle fleet to electric and hydrogen cars
• Staff can use electric bikes for shorter trips
• We encourage video conferencing to cut down on travel
• Adopted a paperless policy to minimise paper usage
• Automated lighting and temperature in our building for minimal energy consumption

Even though some emissions are unavoidable for now, we’ve got it covered. We’ve purchased Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) to offset them. We’ve even factored in staff commuting and working from home. We proudly support the Climate Active organisation trademark because we’re all about supporting climate action. We believe it’s crucial for Australian companies like us to take responsibility for our environmental impact, and we want everyone to know about it. Lumo Energy is Climate Active carbon neutral certified for our business operations, but keep in mind, this does not extend to your energy supply.

Choose our opt-in carbon neutral gas product certified by Climate Active

Lumo Energy's carbon neutral gas is an opt-in natural gas product certified carbon neutral by Climate Active, and is charged as an additional rate to your standard gas usage charges. If you opt-in to our carbon neutral gas product, the carbon emissions from your natural gas usage will be offset with Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs).
