Moving can be stressful, but setting up your energy with Lumo Energy is simple. After confirming your move date, sign up for one of our Lumo plans online. See our moving tips and tricks for more ideas.

For New Customers

Are you a new customer? Lumo Energy offers plans tailored to suit your needs. Simply select your plan, provide your moving date, and sign up – it’s that easy!

Existing customers

Existing Lumo Energy customers enjoy the convenience of a seamless transition during their move. Once your moving date is locked in, just select your plan and advise us of your new address via MyAccount. You can trust us to handle the logistics while you focus on making your new house a home.

If you’re moving home in more than 1 business day, you can get your energy connected by joining us online in just a few minutes, or by calling 1300 115 866. Standard connection charges may apply.

Victorian customers get free standard moves, when signing up to Lumo on a residential plan, with no standard connection charges for electricity or gas. If you are an existing Lumo customer, we’ll also waive your standard disconnection charges when you move with us.^

Need an urgent connection?

We know life can be unpredictable. That’s why we offer urgent connections for gas and electricity when moving.

If you’re moving home in less than 1 business day, give us a call before 12pm and we’ll help get you connected. While we strive to maintain standard charges, urgent connections may incur additional fees. When you call us, we’ll take you through all the details. Unfortunately, we can't get you connected on a Sunday or a public holiday.

^Includes standard connection or disconnection, a meter reading for electricity, fuse insert or removal for electricity and a meter reading for gas, when you switch to Lumo on a residential plan or continue on a Lumo residential plan at your new property and arrange for connection under the same account number. Excludes without limitation, any meter installation, pit and pole reconnection/disconnection, applying/removing locks and plugs for gas meters and truck visits. If you move out of your property and do not reconnect with Lumo, you will be charged a de-energisation fee. Offer may be withdrawn at any time.

Book by 12pm AEST/AEDT Monday to Friday (except public holidays) and connection available on the next business day when signing up electricity by phone only. Connection is subject to customers following distributors’ and Metering Coordinators’ reasonable instructions, safety requirements and providing safe access to the electricity meter. Standard connection charges may apply.
